Take Advantage of Service Companies Working Holidays – Get More Done
Between school calendars, work calendars, meetings and soccer practice, who seriously has time to meet someone to repair a furnace, a tap or a washing machine? Not many people. However, to help customers make the most of their time many service companies are opting to work, full force, on holidays that are considered “socially optional.”
Thinking ahead to a Columbus day or Martin Luther King Jr day coming up, it’s quite possible that a service company near you will be working.
Many companies are willing to work on holidays that don’t completely shut down a state or government because they know that many of those people need service done. Service companies around the United States are trying to make it easier and more affordable to work around your calenders to get more of your home improvement projects done.
Pay attention to their websites
By paying attention to the company’s (that you’re going to be dealing with) website you can be notified of any special deals or coupons for your repairs as well. Many companies like to give customers an incentive for calling on a holiday by giving them special pricing, products, or a little bit of both. If the company has a newsletter or a subscription to an email notification system, use it. Many times they’ll hide the links to the coupons in the emails they send out.
Plan ahead
Look at your calender and determine whither or not work is giving you a holiday off or not. Normally you can call the company ahead of time and ask if they can accommodate you on that day instead. Many services are glad to have business ahead of schedule and it makes their calenders for the immediate week easier to handle. Better service to customers comes with having enough time to get the job done and get the job done right. Be it maintenance, an install, or just a simple equipment inspection, having the time to pay attention to you will give you better service and a better end result.
Set up reminder dates, or a cycle of service
A recent addition to many companies it the idea of continuous service. If you’re a long standing customer with one particular company, many times you can set up multiple dates in a row. You’re more apt to remember or keep track of the days if your maintenance for your particular product falls on the same day every year. This will help you stay ahead of your calls and appointments by putting you on the books ahead of time. Again, this is an optional thing and every service company is different, so make sure to ask about their policies and flexibilities.
